Multiplying the burden
Stacking up all that shit
The foundation long since out of sight
Losing grip, losing confidence
Unable to thrive
Those beloved idle days drowned in the swamps of stagnation of life
Full stagnation
No salvation
And heavy walls that are tumbling down
Conceal the ruins that are not our own
And all the wrinkles on concrete faces
Are just the sum of self-pity and hatred
Multiplying the burden
Losing grip, losing confidence
Foundation long out of sight
Stagnation, unable to thrive
Bricks that keep crashing down
From the ruins we've built on our own
Stagnation – Frustration
Lost in – contemplation
Selfbuilt damnation
We're creeping in isolation
Frustration – Stagnation
Self in- carceration
Selfbuilt - isolation
We're crawling - in damnation
Hearing the songs while reading the narrative behind the lyrics, I felt overwhelmed by this tragic story in which humans and artificial intelligence couldn't coexist side by side. Their reciprocal annihilation was inevitable. Except one "sole survivor, in a ship filled with memories. She had become the proof of Earth, proof that life had existed there, a voice for all the species and beauty we once knew". A dystopian concept dressed up in brilliant musicianship! @Slevin, thanks, I owe it to you! Umbra Cornuta
Crust with strings is a heartfelt and honest pairing. And the opening track Awoken is such a beautiful track, I can't help but listen to it on repeat. Gemma
Rerelease of this pummeling Swedish D-beat/crust LP from 2012, with the hallmarks of the style at its best— heavy riffs and righteous fury. Bandcamp New & Notable May 18, 2021
The Australian punk band express their desire to invert and challenge the conventional in every aspect of their work. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jul 21, 2021
A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson
